Where do we meet for Dalkey Kayak Tours and Clases?

We meet in Bullock Harbour in Dalkey. There is parking at the harbour but we encourage you to take public transport if possible. You can take the DART to Dalkey and then walk 10 mins to Bullock Harbour.

We will meet you at the grey gates to the immediate right of the small blue house in the harbour.

Where do you meet in Lucan?

From Lucan Main St. take the first exit off the small roundabout at the Ulster bank. Drive over the bridge over the river Liffey. Take an immediate left and drive along a narrow road with terraced houses to your right and the river to your left. Travel for a few hundred metres along this road until you come to a very sharp bend in the road. Pull in here. This is our meeting point.

I want to sit a skills assessment do you run them?

Yes we run skills training and assessments for levels Irish Canoe Union Levels 1- 4. Contact us today for the next date.

Do you cater for large groups?

Yes we do! We are specialists in corporate and large group providership. We can tailor make a package that's right for you and we can include food, fishing and entertainmnet if required.

How old do children need to be to come along?

We will accept children from as young as 6 using double sit on top kayaks and open canoes and from 11 years upwards using individual kayaks.

Can I come on an overseas trip?

Yes you can! We run overseas trips for all levels of ability including trips to Slovenia, the French Alps, Mexico and more. We also run long weekends in Kerry and Connemara.

Can I log hours?

Yes you can. Contact us via our webform and let us know what you need to sit in on and we will get back to you.

Do I need to be able to Swim?

You don't need to have the swimming ability of a fish as we will provide you with Buoyancy Aids which will help you to float. You do need to be comfortable in the water and happy enough to kick your legs or move your arms while floating with the buoyancy aid.

Where do you run courses?

Our base is in Blessington, Co. Wicklow and most of our weekly courses take place in Wicklow, Dublin, Kilkenny, Laois and Carlow but we regulalrly run courses all over Ireland so contact us to see if we have a course coming up near you. For group bookings we can accommodate you almost anywhere in the country.

What do I need to bring?

All you need to bring is something to wear under a wetsuit (togs or shorts), footwear that you don't mind getting wet and a towel. If the weather is cool you might like to bring base layers, an old pair of tights, socks, a hat, fleece and a rain jacket (as appropriate). We will provide everything else.
