You can gain an internationally recognised qualification in as little as 3 or 4 days. Whether you wish to dive in Irish waters or turn your holidays abroad into real adventures, the opportunities are here because diving is adventurous, fun and relaxing. Diving is challenging, healthy and can involve existing hobbies such as photography and history. See and experience something new on every dive. There are countless things to capture your interest and imagination. There are many dive sites that offer something for everyone from the wreck diver to the nature enthusiast. On the boat journey out to dive sites you have a good chance of spotting seals, dolphins, whales, basking sharks, sunfish and the very occasional leatherback turtle - all depending on time of year / season and weather conditions.
Visiting the underwater world is much different than many people think. It is not a cold, colourless place where everything is blurred and where one must constantly exert in order to breath. Diving is enjoyable and done in complete comfort and safety. With proper training and equipment, diving is safer than horse riding or playing tennis!
Knowledge and skills acquired during training will prepare you to safely enjoy a new and exciting dimension of life. Prepare yourself through formal training to enjoy the unequalled beauty of the underwater world - the infinite variety of colours, shapes and textures. Let your troubles melt away in the swirling blue-green expanse of the earth's waters, in a sphere of safety provided by your diving education. To be assured of proper instruction, seek formal training from a professional instructor.
Diving is a sport which requires reasonable medical fitness and good health. A simple self-declaration medical form or consultation with your GP is required depending on the certifying agency chosen.
Cross-over courses are designed for qualified divers who wish to change certifying agency. These will depend on current diver grade, experience and additional training required.
Completion and referral courses are available for those divers who have missed part of their training or who wish to speed up training commenced elsewhere.
